What are High Speed Rails?
High Speed Rails (HSRails) is a plugin added to Revival SMP to make rails much faster and enable cross-map railroads. While this increases speed ten-fold, there's a few drawbacks as well!
How To Set Up High Speed Rails
High speed rails act like powered rails but accelerate much faster than typical powered rails. In order to use a high speed rail, place redstone blocks under the powered rail. This will change the powered rail into a high speed rail.
Derailments
Like with real trains, derailments are a real thing you need to watch out for! If you hit a corner or abrupt elevation change (up or down!) you may derail and sometimes even be thrown from the track! Use normal powered rails (with a redstone torch or lever) to act as a break before hitting corners!
Additional Information
- All other rails work as normal, only powered rails placed on top of redstone blocks will act as high powered rails.
- If you are still derailing even after adding a break, add another! Sometimes your speed is still too high.
